Job Description

Under the supervision of the Director of Finance & Administration, the candidate will be responsible for participating in the coordination of all accounting and financial activities for several group companies and supporting the Director in all of their functions.

Main Responsibilities:
• Participate in the preparation of required monthly documentation, both internal and external
• Prepare and manage month-end closures and the full accounting cycle for several group companies
• Responsible for payroll calculation and payments to suppliers
• Responsible for government remittances (source deductions, consumption taxes)
• Ensure compliance with the various regulatory contexts in place
• Implement and maintain an adequate internal control environment based on the company’s needs and growth
• Responsible for the preparation of the annual audit file for several companies in the group

Desired Profile:

• Recognized university degree in accounting
• Possess 5 years of experience in finance or accounting
• Bilingualism is essential, both oral and written – the individual will be required to deal with unilingual English-speaking individuals working in offices outside of Quebec on a regular basis
• Sense of organization and priority management
• Leadership and initiative
• Attention to detail and analytical mind
• Strong ability to work as a team in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work on various files simultaneously and within tight deadlines
• Knowledge of Maestro software and experience in the construction sector are considered assets

Job Description:

The role of the project coordinator primarily involves planning and managing the various aspects surrounding project implementation, from the initial stages to its completion, according to the scheduled timeline.

In collaboration with the project coordination department, the project coordinator will be responsible for the following:
• Ensures the proper functioning, planning, and coordination of projects
• Provides professional service to the client
• Acts as the internal point of contact for suppliers, orders and inventory management
• Plans deliveries to the construction site
• Works jointly with the project manager and operations department
• Collaborates with all departments within the company (estimation and administration)
• Plans and actively participates in project meetings
• Prepares and sends the necessary project documentation
• Ensures the delivery of samples and technical sheets to professionals
• Manages change requests and directives
• Visits the construction site accompanied by a project manager according to project progress

Under the supervision of the Director of estimation, your responsibilities are;
• Manage all assigned tenders.
• Analyze submission documents, plans, specifications, and addenda.
• Prepare and submit all tender documents, ensuring compliance with requirements and deadlines.
• Support the sales team with renovation and new construction estimates for both commercial and residential projects.
• Conduct plan and specification analyses to propose cost-effective and profitable alternatives.
• Estimate all project costs, including materials, labour, equipment, etc., and required timelines.
• Work closely with the Director of estimation to finalize tenders and meet the company’s sales objectives.

Desired Profile for the Estimator:

• College diploma in Estimation, Architecture, Engineering, or a relevant field, combined with 1 to 3 years of experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical plans and specifications at a high level.
• Proficiency in mathematics and computer applications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Takes responsibility and has exceptional organizational skills.
